ENZYMES USE IN WASTE WATER TREATMENT
Incorporation of enzymes in waste water treatment process greatly enhances the effluent quality before it is discharged so that the environment is not polluted. The wastewater from food processing industry, plant extraction industry and agro based manufacturing industry contains Chemicals, carbohydrates, proteins, fats and cell wall polysaccharide materials that increases the BOD and COD of wastewater. In regular activated-sludge treatment process these residual matter are decomposed by microbes. Addition of enzymes boost up this process, making the process faster and more efficient, ensuring better discharge quality.

To enhance the treatment of wastewater from these processing industries, SB-ET-ZYME a specialized combination of enzymes has been developed by our in house R&D. Our enzyme formulation facilitates reduction of BOD and COD and renders it suitable for activated sludge treatment and composting. Our enzyme products effectively break down organic waste and increase the quality of wastewater effluent without the use of harsh chemicals.
Enzymes mediated process have an edge over normal chemical process or microbe aided degradation process where it start degrading organic waste immediately upon addition, while bacterial strains take time for growth and effectively treat system.
Benefits:
- Reduction of environmental pollution by elimination of harsh chemicals
- Reduction the BOD and COD levels in the effluent discharge
- Reduce the effluent processing time
- Increase in cost effectiveness
